Pastor Douglas Thompson was born in Des Moines Iowa were he attended Irving Junior High. After High School in became an apprentice carpenter. In 1979 he relocated to Atlanta Ga. to attend Clark Atlanta University were he received a B.A. in Business Administration and Marketing.

Pastor Doug began his secular career in Dayton Ohio with the U.S. Defense Department in 1983 in the field of contract negotiations. He ended his career as a regional contracting officer for the Environmental Protection Agency in Atlanta Ga. In 1993, Pastor Doug established an outreach ministry supporting missionaries and hosting God’s End-Time Army radio broadcast in four different states. In 1998, Pastor Doug yielded to the Pastorate call of God upon his life and was ordained as a Full Gospel Minister under the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship in Columbus Ohio. He then founded Harvest Rain Church International, a full gospel, non-denominational church located in Fairburn, Ga.

With no members, God instructed him to purchase a 16,700 square feet commercial plaza where they held their first service on March 1, 1998. In the same year Pastor Doug and his wife founded Project R.O.C.K.(Reaching Our Community Kids) an outreach ministry which to date has serviced the needs of thousands of children in the South Fulton community. The following year under his leadership, Harvest Rain Early Learning Academy was established as the first licensed Early Learning Center in Fairburn.

Pastor Doug has been called of God to teach the life changing gospel with simplicity, boldness and integrity. God has anointed him to provoke believers to good works and to stir up the gifts that are within so that believers may become useful and active members of the Body of Christ. His unique style of ministry provides life, healing, restoration and deliverance to the people of God. He is happily married to his wife Ingrid. They are proud parents of their four beautiful children; Jeremy, Daniel, Brooke and Chloe.
