Something special happens when sisters come together on stage…there’s a connection that takes place not only between them but with the audience that adds a measure of uniqueness to their performance. Carol and Stephanie know all about that special bonding that only takes place between sisters and manifests itself onstage.

They’ve been singing together since childhood when they recorded their first album with “The Gospel Four” on Atlanta International Records. No wonder they are inspired by Psalms 34:1, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth."

No strangers to the studio or the stage, the Lamar Sisters have performed with and along side Shirley Caesar, The Winans, Donald Lawrence, The Thompson Community Singers, and many others. With songs that transcend several musical styles, the Lamar Sisters can captivate any audience in any venue. The sisters say, "It's not about fame or fortune, but its all about Jesus Christ and ministering to His people. Our prayer is that we continue with a spirit of humility and that we remain in the perfect will of God. It is through Him and Him alone that we will achieve our true purpose. He saved us to live our lives and to minister song in such a way that we lead others to Christ".

The Lamar Sisters are determined to use their ministry as a catalyst to spread the good news and tell the world that Jesus is coming soon. Anointed and appointed for the ministry, they are both living testimonies that there is hope, healing, and deliverance in Jesus Christ. Stay tuned for their first solo project release in Fall of 2009.
