With our Lord and Savior at the head of table, think James Jackson & think anointed and on fire, the kind of praise & worship that can touch a soul with the simplest melody. At 36 years of age, this choir master, charismatic, energetic young can stir the souls of young people and traditional gospel enthusiast alike.

James Jackson is from Los Angeles CA. and had the great opportunity to be coached by the late Rev. Robert Henry of the Los Angeles Voices of Watts and the King of gospel himself the late Rev. James Cleveland.

Jackson began singing and directing choirs at the early age of nine years old, not to mention he’s been a GMWA kid throughout his whole life. James has shared the stage with world wide artists such as Rev. James Cleveland, Mississippi Mass Choir, John P. Kee, Byron Cage, Mary-Mary and many others. Jackson has toured throughout the United States doing workshops for the last ten years giving God the highest praise. The year 1999, Jackson produced his third group “Voices of Sacramento” with their freshman cd entitled “Raise the Roof “, which sold over 50,000 units and Landed a deal with Alpine Records, CEO AL Bell formally of Stax Records. The year 2001, Jackson started a record label (International Sound) along with the “Gospel Connection”, a church supply store, recording studio and a gospel club which operated in twenty thousand square feet Facility, where some of the most influential gospel artists performed. Now Living in Atlanta for the pass four years, God has placed James Jackson to birth one of the most powerful and anointed groups “Atlanta Praise” hitting the gospel scene Feb. 2004 starting off with (8) members , now reaching 25 strong Levites on fire for the Lord with their dynamic vocals, high energy and powerful songs written by Jackson. JJ & ATL Praise was blessed to put on the first benefit concert the Hurricane Katrina victims a week after the tragedy, and raised over $25,000 dollars to give to the families of New Orleans. ATL Praise recently won the V-103FM choir competition hosted radio celebrity Larry Tinsley July 15th 2006, which landed to open up for the Gospel Search at the 2007 Summer TD Jakes Mega Fest. Performing at the 2006 New York Gospel Super fest new artist showcase was the highlight for JJ & ATL Praise, with Verity & Tyscot scoping out the group for potential label mates. So keep a look out for this powerful ministry cd entitled “It’s All Good being played across the radio throughout the country from International Sound Music Entertainment. Atlanta Praise were recently nominated for Choir of the year & Song of the year at the 2007 Gospel Choice Awards and had the great opportunity to perform at the 2007 Bobby Jones BET gospel show, which was an honor and success. JJ & ATL Praise was blessed in 2008 to perform with such artist as Tye Tribbet, Kim Burrell, Gospel Music Channels Bobby Jones Next Generation Show and much more to come.
