- Born on April 11, 1953 as the sixth child to the union of the late Hon. Melville F. Harris, Sr, of Greenville, Sinoe County and the late Josephine Beatrice Lewis Harris of the Royal House of Bokomu, Liberia.
Marital Status & Family:
- Married to Queeta Tolbert Harris for 32 years. This union was blessed with 7 children including triplet daughters. One of their sons died in an auto accident in 2002.

Personal Challenges:
Since March 2010, Rev. Harris was diagnosed with renal (kidney) failure. He currently takes dialysis three days a week for 4.5 hours and is currently on the Emory Hospital Kidney waiting list for and expected kidney transplant.
