About Dr. Kim C. Davis
Dr. Kim C. Davis
2009 Performer
Dr. Kim C. Davis is purposed to be a true worshipper. Her roots in the church go back some 80 years before her birth when her Great Grandmother, the late Bishop Lena Thomas established a local church and a congregation of churches called the Gates of Heaven Assembly of Churches, Inc. which is now headed by her mother, Bishop Maureen L. Davis. Currently, Dr. Kim is the National Music Director of this Assembly as well as the Worship Director of the Open Door Mission True Light Church, Inc., formerly pastored by her grandfather, the late James L. Ballard, Sr. and currently pastored by her mother. Kim C. Davis is a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and she is affectionately known as Dr. Kim.
In addition to being Music and Worship Director, Dr. Kim is licensed and ordained to minister the Gospel. Dr. Kim's kingdom assignment from God is to lead the journey into the manifested presence of God where we transcend the weight of our circumstances for the weight of His glory. The goal is to ignite the atmosphere with true worship where there is total concentration on the Almighty God making Him the audience of our worship. Her creed is that our worship should be on purpose so that we encounter and respond to the triune God.
Dr. Kim has shared her ministerial gifts with a variety of audiences in various arenas and events. Her life-transformational preaching and teaching have extended nationally. Her heartfelt singing has broadened beyond the scope of church to highlight at the 2009 Gospel Choice Awards-Atlanta sharing the stage with great renowned gospel artists. She has guest appeared at the "Just Churchin' Gospel Series" and has guest appeared on Atlanta Live Christian television program.
Kim's effervescence for the Lord is contagious and inspiring. God's anointing on this woman of God as a preacher, a teacher and a psalmist is a gift to the body of Christ. If you ask her what the art of true worship is, her reply will be a whole-hearted commitment to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
