Gospel Choice / Pepsi Bottling Group Community Outreach Award
The Gospel Choice/Pepsi Bottling Group Community Outreach Award was created to recognize a church that exemplifies humanitarianism, has a direct impact on social issues within the community, and has active community outreach programs.
Award Criteria
The Outreach Program in which the Church is nominated must have an established ACTIVE program with proven results in one or more of the below listed eligible programs. The nomination application must include photos and written testimonies by persons benefitting from said program.
The following Outreach Programs are eligible for consideration and inclusion to determine the winner of the category:
- Youth Empowerment
- Education
- Mentorship
- Healthcare
- Homeless
- Senior Citizens
- Substance Abuse (Alcohol/Drugs)
- Parenting
- HIV Assistance/Education
- Domestic Violence
- Inclusion
- Relief Assistance
Eligibility
All churches registered and organized within the state of Georgia are eligible for consideration provided they meet the award criteria.
Gospel Choice / Pepsi Bottling Group Community Outreach Award Winner
The winner of the award will be determined by the church that receives the most hits/votes during the voting period (September 15 and ending September 23, 2009).
Church of the Year Winner Receives:
- Gospel Choice/Pepsi Community Outreach Award Plaque
- Check for $2,500**
** Award money must be used towards Outreach Program(s) and evidence of this must be documented to AGCA planning committee.
The Main Event
The announcement of the winner of the CHURCH OF THE YEAR category will be announce and awarded on Monday, September 28th, 2009 at the Atlanta Gospel Choice Awards.***
***All churches nominated must have a representative at the awards on Monday, September 28, 2009.
